Assalamualaikum,

First of all, I know that this website doesn’t update very frequently. We also realize that we have no pictures. Overall, this website is probably really boring to most of you. Yeah, we don’t blame you for not following us. However, to some of you who may be interested in what we’re doing with this website, we hope that you remain patient. We promise we will make this website actually worth visiting one day, Insya ALLAH. Our deepest apologies. :)

Now on to our progress. Last night, our team was finally able to meet up and actually have a discussion! wow. :) In our discussion, we came to finalize that our main focus right now should not be publishing a magazine, but instead this website. We also need to decide on our team who will be responsible of so and so. Insya ALLAH, we will discuss that on our next meeting and we’ll update as soon as that meeting is done.

thanks. ;)

Assalamualaikum,

The first attempt to publish the magazine was very immature, which ended with the publisher refusing to publish our magazine. We had many questions back then. Like, refused? why? so what happens now? but thank God~ The supports were still there for us.

Obviously, our contents for the  first mag was so irrelevant for our target market. So, simply, the viability was very unconvincing, especially to our publisher. Only one meaning to this, there is a lot more work to do, a lot more knowledge to seek about this magazine, and we definitely need a working platform. We cant work alone. Luckily, we still have our publisher behind our backs.

As time flies, the training company Total Success gave us the opportunity to make a deal with them, which was for them to train us and to make sure that this magazine project would succeed. In return, we must commit to them and give them some of the profit. We have a platform to work on, to do research, to build networks, to gather information, and everything else. And its vital.

The first few weeks were going well, until one time that we did some post mortem. Unfortunately, the company’s conditions and our conditions didn’t come together that well. We had to travel back and forth from JB to bangi, which cost us a lot of money as well as time. While the outcome we managed to produce was not worth it, the training with total success was also a liability at that time.

It’s not anyone’s fault or what, it’s just things can’t come up together as planned. We just had to break up the deal. Move on our own. Now, we have no training. Every knowledge we have to seek must be done by ourselves. It seems like everything got a lot heavier but we do continue. We’re still young. So in the beginning, we thought this would be impossible. However with the supports that we still receive from total success which agreed to help us in the later future, as well as our dearest publisher, we gained back our confidence to make our dream become a reality. But no matter how much support we have, the best support we are hoping from is God. May He bless our efforts and accept our purpose in doing this. :)

Assalamualaikum.

first of all, as the first post in this magazine backstage, all I want to talk about is our history of the making of our magazine.

The idea was sparked in the rush of thinking about the fundraising for a charity program we joined since 14 jan 2011. It was R2S(Road to Sarawak). the target were about RM 30k.

It was quite high for fresh graduated secondary school students. The team consisted of  20 participants.  The time span for us to complete our goal of RM 30k was only within a month. A little too hard for fresh graduated secondary school students? Yup, even determination, hard work, and commitment wasn’t enough for us to achieve the target but our overall collection was satisfying enough.

Even if we didn’t quite achieve our target in terms of money collection, we were proud of the work we’ve put in. We knew we tried our best to help those in need. We knew we were doing it for the right cause. So we were glad we could help with what we did.

One of the ideas we came up with for our fundraising was creating a magazine. In the beginning, we believed we could finish working on the magazine in about three weeks or so.

Without looking back, we started collecting articles, editing them, design the front cover of the magazine, finding a publisher, and sending all our work to our publisher. In just a few weeks, our magazine was completed. We couldn’t wait to publish it.

However, we weren’t expecting our magazine to be a serious hit until our publisher asked us several questions. Questions that made us think deep into the world of business, magazines, and publishing.

We were clueless. If we were to publish the magazine with what we already had, would people buy it? How many, exactly? How much is the price of this magazine? Is it worth it? Why should people buy our magazine? Who are the people that will buy our magazine? Do we want this to be a one shot magazine? Or do we want it to be a series magazine? They were these type of questions that made us think twice.

We decided to make it a series magazine. Great. So we made up our decision, now let’s print! Woah. Hold on. As I said earlier, the questions asked by our publisher made us think twice. It made us realize we could make this a big hit magazine.

But………… That would require us to fix and transform our magazine to something that people would actually want to read. Wow. Sounds hard? If there was any one word that could describe how it is for us to produce a public magazine in the making, it would be just that. Hard.

We weren’t sure where to start. So we looked for support and fortunately, we received a lot of it. A lot of credit goes to training and consultant company, Total Success and our dearest publisher, Dreka for understanding the purpose of this magazine and supporting the cause of it all the way.

Our magazine is still far from done. Creating a magazine requires a really long process. It requires a lot of research, hard work, and commitment. So far, we refuse to step back. We will continue.

We believe that we have a good purpose in creating this magazine. We believe this magazine can spark a change. The only way to think about it, is to let down a huge project like this or to make use of it. Not many people at such a young age receive the opportunity to make a change. We have received this opportunity. It seems more than just an opportunity. It seems more of a responsibility. Our journey starts now.

We hope you can join our journey to making this magazine a reality one day. Please, follow us on this blog for frequent updates. Thanks and may God bless your support and efforts for this cause~! :)
